High blood pressure ( hypertension) Causes, Symptoms and Herbal Treatment

High blood pressure is a condition that affects millions of people around the world. It's a leading cause of heart disease and stroke, as well as renal failure and blindness.

High blood pressure can be caused by many factors including age, diet, family history or genetics - but there are some things you can do to help prevent it.

What is hypertension?

High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood pressure is too high. The heart has to work harder to pump blood through your arteries, causing damage to your organs and leading to stroke or heart attack.

The main causes of hypertension are:

Being overweight or obese.

Having diabetes mellitus (DM), which means that you have too much sugar in your blood.

Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, is a serious medical condition that can cause serious health problems if left untreated. It is caused by a number of factors, including lifestyle choices, genetics, and underlying medical conditions.
Hypretension can also be caused by certain medications or stress.

The most common symptoms of hypertension are headaches, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath and fatigue. These symptoms may not always be present and can vary in severity depending on the individual's blood pressure level. Hypertension can also cause damage to the heart, brain and kidneys if left untreated for too long. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms as they could be indicative of hypertension.

How can I check if I have hypertension?

The best way to check if you have hypertension is to take your blood pressure at home. This can be done by using a sphygmomanometer, which looks like a large cuff and measures blood pressure through two small tubes attached to the arm. You'll need someone's help with this part, as it takes some getting used to; if you're not comfortable with someone measuring your blood pressure, ask them for help first!

Once you've taken your reading, compare it with what it was before taking the reading (in case anything has changed since then). If there's been any significant increase in either systolic or diastolic readings (the higher number), then this could indicate that something may be wrong with your heart or circulation system. If so, consult a doctor immediately so they can run tests on yourself and determine whether or not further treatment would be necessary.

How can I prevent high blood pressure?

Losing weight. For people with high blood pressure, losing just 5 to 10 percent of your body weight can lower your risk of developing it by as much as 30 percent.

Eating healthy and exercising regularly. Being physically active is one way to keep your heart healthy by reducing stress on the organ (by working out) or by improving circulation in the body (by eating more fruit and vegetables). You should also limit alcohol consumption and avoid smoking cigarettes if you have high blood pressure because they both increase the risk for developing hypertension.

Managing stress effectively may help you avoid overstress that can cause chronic conditions like heart disease or stroke; those who suffer from chronic stress tend to have higher rates of diabetes, depression, anxiety disorders and substance abuse problems than those who don't experience these issues often enough during their lifetimes."

If you have hypertension, it's important to take care of your health. If possible, try to avoid medications that can cause problems in the long run and make lifestyle changes that will help reduce blood pressure.

If lifestyle modifications aren't enough to bring down your blood pressure, medication may be recommended.

A high blood pressure diagnosis is treatable and there are many options available. For example, medication can help lower your blood pressure naturally without the side effects of surgery or other invasive procedures. Your doctor may also recommend lifestyle changes such as diet changes, weight loss or exercise to help reduce your risk of developing high blood pressure in the future.
